REPORTS: Nebraska Special Teams coach Mike Ekeler headed to USC

Nebraska Special Teams Coach Mike Ekeler is departing from the Huskers and heading to USC, per sources.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska Special Teams Coach Mike Ekeler is departing from the Huskers and heading to USC, per sources. 

CBS Sports Reporter Matt Zenitz reported the news Tuesday afternoon on X. 

Ekeler had a previous stint with the Trojans in 2013 when he served as linebackers coach. Ekeler leaves Nebraska after just one season, which was his second go around with the Big Red, as he also coached linebackers at Nebraska from 2008-2010. 

Ekeler is in his 27th year of collegiate coaching, having made previous stops at successful power four schools such as Nebraska, USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee and LSU.
