Authorities investigating attempted kidnapping in Kyle

The FBI and Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety (OSTDPS) are searching for suspects involved in an attempted kidnapping in Kyle.

KYLE, S.D. – The FBI and Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety (OSTDPS) are searching for suspects involved in an attempted kidnapping in Kyle.

According to OSTDPS, around 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 25, three men attempted to abduct a minor near American Creek Horse Road. A concerned tribal member intervened, preventing the abduction and immediately notifying authorities.

Law enforcement is now working to identify and locate the suspects. Officials urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We ask the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity,” said OST Chief of Police Danielle Conroy Means.
