Rapid City firefighters help remove mountain lion from tree

RAPID CITY, S.D. - Rapid City firefighters helped Game Fish and Parks remove a young mountain lion from a tree, according to a Facebook post by Rapid City, SD Professional Firefighters. The lion was located in a southside neighborhood near 5th Street and Minnesota Avenue. Authorities tranquilized the mountain lion, and firefighters were on hand to catch it as it fell from the tree.

 

The post did not specify where the mountain lion was taken after the rescue.
