Patrick Janssen joined the News Channel Nebraska newsroom as the digital director in September of 2020, moving into the position of news and content director a year later. In addition to overseeing all aspects of NCN's statewide news operation, Patrick also provides support as a sports broadcaster for the company.

Patrick began his career in sports and news while in high school, bugging former managers at KNCY in Nebraska City to let him on the air. He started his actual professional career as the sports and news director at KTCH Radio in Wayne.

He then took multiple jobs in broadcasting and media relations, working for professional and college sports teams, in addition to working for several different outlets on both the east and west coast. Patrick also worked in the entertainment industry for several years, both on camera and off.

Patrick has kept his eyes and ears on Nebraska news throughout his career and is excited to be back in Nebraska covering local stories that matter to him, his family and his community.
