Pointing a laser at an aircraft is a felony, not a prank

Knowingly aiming a laser at an occupied aircraft is a class 6 felony under Colorado law, C.R.S. 18-3-210. It is also a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. § 39A, punishable by fines, up to five years in prison, or both.

Wetland water conditions better than last year

Many of the wetlands in the Rainwater Basin have dense stands of annual plants, which will provide good food for waterfowl but make the water more difficult for hunters to see.

Drought grazing field tour scheduled near Sidney

A tour highlighting the importance of grazing annual forages will be held in Cheyenne County September 10. The event will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of County Road 115 and County Road 8 south of Sidney. The field tour will include how annual forages can be used as a grazing resource in a cropping system.

Vietnam Traveling Wall coming to Crawford 

The Vietnam Traveling Wall and Cost of Freedom Tribute will be in Crawford, Ne., September 8-13. The display will be at the Crawford Baseball Fields, 1005 1st St, Crawford.
