Syracuse man charged in Sheridan County child sexual abuse material case

A 61-year-old Syracuse, Nebraska man is facing multiple felony charges in Sheridan County related to child sexual abuse material.

GORDON, Neb. — A 61-year-old Syracuse, Nebraska man is facing multiple felony charges in Sheridan County related to child sexual abuse material.

Francis Tyson, who also goes by Doug Tyson, is charged with three felonies: authorizing or causing child sexual abuse material depiction, possession of child sexual abuse material, and intentional child abuse.

According to court documents, Tyson is accused of soliciting nude images from a teenage girl and receiving the images. Court records indicate he previously lived in Gordon but had recently moved.

Tyson is scheduled to be arraigned in Sheridan County on Jan. 29.
