Oklahoma man arrested for drugs in Valentine

VALENTINE, Neb. - During the week of January 25^th to January 31^st, the following arrests were reported by the Valentine Police Department:

At 7:41 PM on January 26^th, a traffic stop in the 500 block of Highway 20 lead to the arrest of a 33 year old Oklahoma man on drug possession charges.

On January 28^th at 6:55 PM a 43 year old Nebraska man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 20 and South Hall Street.

On January 30^th, at 12:10 AM, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Dowden street.  A 35 year old Nebraska man was arrested for Third Degree Domestic Assault.

In all the police department responded to 36 calls for service during the week, including:

7 traffic stops

2 welfare checks

2 truancy complaints

2 non-injury accidents

2 reported runaways

1 drug violation

1 theft of a motor vehicle

1 report of terroristic threats
