OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Duke Brennan had 21 points in Villanova's 80-69 win over Creighton on Saturday.

Brennan added 12 rebounds for the Wildcats (20-5, 11-3 Big East Conference). Tyler Perkins scored 17 points while shooting 7 of 12 from the floor to go with 11 rebounds. Devin Askew finished with 13 points.

Nik Graves led the Bluejays (13-13, 7-8) in scoring, finishing with 15 points and five assists. Creighton also got 14 points from Josh Dix. Austin Swartz had 12 points.

Villanova took the lead for good with 15:48 to go in the first half. The score was 41-27 at halftime, with Perkins racking up 11 points. Villanova was outscored by Creighton in the second half by three points, with Brennan scoring a team-high 12 points in the final half.

Butler puts up 18 as Colorado State defeats Wyoming 79-68

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Jase Butler's 18 points helped Colorado State defeat Wyoming 79-68 on Saturday night.

Butler also contributed six assists and three steals for the Rams (15-10, 6-8 Mountain West Conference). Jevin Muniz scored 15 points while finishing 6 of 8 from the floor, and added five rebounds. Rashaan Mbemba shot 3 of 3 from the field and 8 for 10 from the line to finish with 14 points, while adding eight rebounds.

Damarion Dennis finished with 21 points for the Cowboys (13-12, 4-10). Khaden Bennett added 13 points and nine rebounds for Wyoming. Nasir Meyer finished with 12 points.

Butler scored nine points in the first half and Colorado State went into halftime trailing 40-37. Colorado State went on a 10-2 run to narrow the score to 59-57 with 9:17 remaining in the half before finishing off the victory. Kyle Jorgensen scored nine of his 11 points in the second half for the Rams.

Rob Wright scores career-high 39 points to help No. 22 BYU edge Colorado in OT

PROVO, Utah (AP) — Rob Wright III scored a career-high 39 points and No. 22 BYU beat Colorado 90-86 in overtime on Saturday.

It was Wright's second straight 30-point-plus game after scoring 30 at Baylor on Tuesday night. AJ Dybantsa added 20 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists to help the Cougars (19-6, 7-5 Big 12) win without second-leading scorer Richie Saunders.

Saunders exited 45 seconds into the game after suffering an apparent lower leg injury on BYU’s first possession and did not return.

Aleksej Kostic hit an open 3-pointer with 1:21 left in overtime to put BYU up 85-82. Colorado missed six straight shots and scored one basket over the final 3 1/2 minutes, allowing the Cougars to seal the win at the free-throw line.

Isaiah Johnson had 27 points to lead Colorado (14-12, 4-9). Barrington Hargress chipped in 20 and Bangot Dak added 15.

Wright scored three baskets to fuel a 14-4 run that put BYU up 69-62 with 6:20 remaining.

Colorado tied it at 78-78 on Johnson’s layup with 18.4 seconds left in regulation. Dybantsa missed a contested jumper just before the buzzer.

Dybantsa scored three baskets over a four-minute stretch to help the Cougars build a 37-29 lead late in the first half. BYU came out sluggish after halftime, starting 0 of 5 from the field and committing three turnovers. Colorado had 21 points off 13 BYU turnovers.

Colorado surged ahead 45-39 behind a 13-0 run, including three jumpers from Dak.

Former BYU guard Jimmer Fredette’s No. 32 jersey was retired at halftime. Fredette played for the Cougars from 2007 to 2011. He was named AP Player of the Year as a senior after averaging 28.9 points per game and leading BYU to the Sweet 16 in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

Fresno State secures 93-63 win over Air Force

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Led by 18 points each from Wilson Jacques and DeShawn Gory, Fresno State defeated Air Force 93-63 on Saturday.

Jacques added nine rebounds for the Bulldogs (12-13, 6-8 Mountain West Conference). Gory shot 8 for 16, including 0 for 4 from beyond the arc, and added three steals. Bastien Rieber shot 4 for 5, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 12 points.

Lucas Hobin finished with 26 points for the Falcons (3-22, 0-14). Air Force also got 13 points from Riley Dering. Kam Sanders had 10 points and 11 assists. The loss is the 18th straight for the Falcons.

The score was 45-33 at halftime, with Jacques racking up 10 points. Fresno State extended its lead to 77-50 during the second half, fueled by a 9-0 scoring run. Jacques scored a team-high eight points in the second half as the Bulldogs closed out the win.
