Narcotics investigation leads to arrest of Kearney man

KEARNEY, Neb. (March 10) — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol, with assistance from the Kearney Police Department and TRIDENT Task Force, arrested one person as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

On Friday, investigators served a search warrant at a house in the 200 block of East 26th Street in Kearney. In the search, investigators found over 5 grams of THC wax, 61 grams of marijuana, over 50 THC vape cartridges, and 9 firearms.

Jacob Broweleit, 19, was arrested for two counts of distribution of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, and one count of distribution of a controlled substance. He was lodged in Buffalo County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
