North Platte man sentenced to 15 years for child abuse

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A North Platte man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday on three counts of intentional child abuse.

Daniel Navarette, 36, received five years on each count. Lincoln County District Judge Cindy Volkmer ordered the sentences to run consecutively.

Court documents show the abuse occurred in 2012. Navarette pleaded no contest in January.
