STANTON, Neb. — Six people are injured following a crash during winter weather conditions in northeast Nebraska.

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says his office responded to a three-vehicle crash around 1:00 p.m. Sunday. It happened on Highway 275 about five miles west of Pilger. According to Unger, a sedan and SUV had slowed because of white out conditions. Another SUV crashed into the original SUV, propelling it into the sedan.

A news release says six people, including an infant and a toddler, were transported to a Norfolk hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies cited the driver of the SUV that rammed into the other vehicles for driving without a license.

Authorities shut down Highway 275 from the intersection with Highway 57 to the intersection with Highway 15 for about an hour.

Unger says his office responded to another crash around 2:00 p.m.

Stanton County is in a High Wind Warning until 1:00 a.m. Monday.
