Alliance Police Chief David Leavitt recently withdrew the Police Department's request for funding to purchase and deploy a Flock Safety camera and automated license plate reader. The Department had been evaluating Flock Safety technology as an investigative and publicsafety tool to assist officers.

UNK Pride of the Plains announces 2026 members, performance schedule
The University of Nebraska at Kearney Pride of the Plains Marching Band has announced its 2026 season schedule, beginning with Thursday’s home football game against Wayne State College. In addition to performing at all UNK home football games, the Pride of the Plains will take part in the annual UNK Band Day Parade on Sept. 19. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Kearney.
