North Platte woman released from hospital after 12 days on ventilator

A central Nebraska woman is recovering after a month in the hospital.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-- A central Nebraska woman is recovering after spending a month in the hospital due to COVID-19.

Great Plains Health employees in North Platte gathered together and lined the halls to send off 73-year-old Eleanor Zalud.

She was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 on December 3rd. Eleanor spent 32 days at Great Plains Health and 12 days on a ventilator.

On Tuesday, she left the hospital for a long-term care facility and eventually home.
