Lonestar Concert brings crowd to Norfolk Friday night

The anticipated Lonestar, Chris Cagle, and Luke Hupp concert took place Friday night in Norfolk outside at the Midtown Event Center.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- The anticipated Lonestar, Chris Cagle, and Luke Hupp concert took place Friday night in Norfolk outside at the Midtown Event Center. 

US92's Green Light Great Night presented its first outdoor concert this summer with crowds around the northeast Nebraska area coming out to enjoy the music and summer weather. 

News Channel Nebraska spoke to Luke Hupp about how the crowds were during the concert. 

"The crowd was great, the crowd was electric," Hupp said. "They were ready to have a good time, it was Friday night, the weather's perfect, so everything was rock 'n' rollin'."

Hupp said the audience was "bumpin'" was the opening act for Cagle and Lonestar.

"It was great, you know," Hupp said. "Chris Cagle and Lonestar, both of them, have been living in my speakers for years, so to share the stage with those guys was a true honor."

Hupp said he looks forward to maybe opening for them again.
