NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- It's still summer, but some families are already getting ready for school again.

In fact, one Nebraska organization is raising money to purchase school clothes for local children.

L2 For Kids, located in North Platte, helps 1,000 kids each year.

Founders Pat and Henry Potter believe if kids look their best, they will be motivated to perform their best.

The organization began as a good deed for one boy but has since grown as the founders retired and decided to create the organization.

Clothes go to North Platte, Gothenburg, Ogallala, Cozad, and more.

Donations rely on fundraising efforts.

During the first week of August, the L2 For Kids will take children shopping and allow them to pick out their clothes.
