A new national petition is calling on Congress and President Donald Trump to restore mandatory country-of-origin labeling (MCOOL) for beef.
NTIA announces new round of broadband funding
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration states this round of funding is intended to serve locations that remain unserved after the initial deployment round. In the initial deployment, only around $44.5 million of Nebraska’s allocation was spent, leaving approximately $340 million to be spent.

Nebraska troopers on patrol for end of summer travel season
The summer travel season is coming to an end and Nebraska State Troopers will be on patrol to help keep travelers safe during Labor Day Weekend. ince Memorial Day, troopers have arrested 328 people for driving under the influence. Each of those arrests could have been unnecessary if the driver had planned a sober ride.
