Stanton tops EMF in D1 final, wins first state title

LINCOLN, Neb. — Stanton made history on Monday morning.<br/><br/>The Mustangs defeated Exeter-Milligan-Friend 42-36 in the D1 final to claim the fist football state championship in school history.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Stanton made history on Monday morning.

The Mustangs defeated Exeter-Milligan-Friend 42-36 in the D1 final to claim the fist football state championship in school history.

Stanton was led by Barrett Wilke who rushed for 250 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries. The junior also threw for 135 yards and three more scores.

EMF was led by Breckan Schluter who ran for 266 yards and all six touchdowns.
