Godsey leads in basketball blocks

NEBRASKA CITY - In girls basketball Taryn Godsey of Nebraska City is the state leader with seven blocks. Godsey had six blocks in the Pioneer’ 40 to 16 win over Ralston. She also scored 13 points and had nine rebounds. Senior Malayna Madsen also had a block against Ralston, which shot 11 percent from the field.

Elie Bstandig of HTRS is the state’s top rebounder according to a NSAA statistical report released  Wednesday. She had 14.5 rebounds

NSAA statistics lists Gus McGill of Weeping Water as a leader in rebounds in boys basketball.

McGill, a 6-foot junior, has 13 rounds per game.
