Supernovas sweep past San Diego, pick up first win

The Omaha Supernovas picked up their first win of the season on Saturday night.

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Supernovas picked up their first win of the season on Saturday night. 

Over 11,400 fans watched the Supernovas sweep past the San Diego Mojo 25-17, 25-18, 25-22. The Supernovas hit .372, racking up 44 kills and recorded five aces. Bethania de La Cruz had 13 points, while Paige Briggs picked up eight after Brooke Nuneviller went down with an injury. 

The Supernovas return to action on Wednesday, hosting the Las Vegas Thrill. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m CST.
