SPRINGVIEW, Neb. -- After holding off a third quarter rally, the Lady Badgers were able to score 14 in the fourth to hold off the North Central Lady Knights 39-36 on Thursday night.

After holding the lead at the end of the first half, North Central was able to take the lead going into the fourth quarter 27-25.

After a seven point lead was built in the fourth quarter by the Lady Knights, Paige Sprenger, the leading scorer for the Lady Badgers with 20, was able to give momentum back to Valentine after falling behind.

The Lady Knights cut the game to a two point deficit after a Morgan Lewis three made it 38-36 but it was too much for North Central to overcome.

The Badgers were able to force 16 turnovers in the first half and lead the majority of the contest.

North Central's Morgan Lewis led the scoring for the Lady Knights with 16 points.

With Thursday's game, both teams finished their regular season and await postseason play with sub-districts coming up.
