Cherry County commissioners enter closed session for litigation discussion

VALENTINE, Neb. - The Cherry County Board of Commissioners’ agenda for its Aug. 13 meeting included a litigation update from County Attorney Eric Scott. However, Scott recommended that the board enter a closed session to talk about the legal matters.

“We have a motion to go into closed session to discuss litigation updates on pending,” Cherry County Commissioner Martin DeNaeyer started.

“And strategy,” Scott added.

“And strategy on pending court cases,” DeNaeyer concluded.

Details regarding the specific litigation were not disclosed.
