VALENTINE, Neb. - One person was injured during a traffic crash Monday afternoon in Valentine. According to Police Chief Dana Miller, the driver of a minivan suffered a non-life-threatening injury when the vehicle collided with a pickup pulling a loaded flatbed trailer.

The crash happened in the 200 block of E Highway 20 in front of the Conoco gas station. Miller said it was caused by an improper U-turn and failing to yield to oncoming traffic.

“It cannot be said enough—check and double check prior to pulling into the roadway,” Miller said.

Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service, Valentine Fire Department, Cherry County Sheriff's Office, Cherry County Emergency Management and the Valentine Police Department all responded to the crash.
