VALENTINE, Neb. - A CenturyLink outage has left dozens of people in the Valentine area without internet and phone service. According to company officials, the outage is expected to last approximately five hours.

“People are impacted to varying degrees. Some may have no service at all, others might experience intermittent connectivity, and some could face slower-than-usual speeds,” a CenturyLink representative informed News Channel Nebraska.

The Cherry County Sheriff’s Office also reported that its administrative phone lines are down due to an outage, which was caused by a cut phone line. However, emergency services remain operational through 911.
