GREGORY, S.D. - The Gregory School District canceled classes for Wednesday following a lockdown on Tuesday. The Gregory Police Department says on Facebook that the lockdown was due to suspicious Snapchat images. Authorities are investigating the potential threat and origin of the pictures.

During the lockdown, students were confined to their classrooms as law enforcement officers secured the building. No movement was allowed within the school during the incident.

This follows a string of recent lockdowns in nearby districts, including Winner and Keya Paha County.
