Valentine Police called off a pursuit after it was deemed a danger to the general public early Friday morning.

VALENTINE, Neb - Valentine Police called off a pursuit after it was deemed a danger to the general public early Friday morning. Valentine Police say at 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 18, an officer responded to the 100 block of West Highway 20 for a disturbance. The suspect, a 35-year-old Valentine man, fled before the officer arrived.
About 35 minutes later, at 2:20 a.m., the suspect was located, and a traffic stop was initiated. However, Police say the suspect fled at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was terminated due to the reckless operation of the vehicle, which posed a danger to the public.
Authorities plan to seek an arrest warrant for the suspect.
