Over six pounds of meth seized in Cherry County traffic stop, Sheriff’s Office reports

A New Mexico man is being held on several felony charges after a Cherry County deputy found more than six pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle, according to the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office.

VALENTINE, Neb. - A New Mexico man is being held on several felony charges after a Cherry County deputy found more than six pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle, according to the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say the traffic stop took place on Jan. 28 along Highway 20. The sheriff’s office estimates the meth has a street value of $30,000 to $35,000.
