Authorities investigating death in Wounded Knee

The body of a 24-year-old man was found on Feb. 7 at around 5:00 p.m., according to the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety.

WOUNDED KNEE, S.D. - The FBI and Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division are investigating a death in Wounded Knee. The body of a 24-year-old man was found on Feb. 7 at around 5:00 p.m., according to the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety (OSTDPS). Authorities have since identified the man, who was reportedly last seen on Feb. 6.

Officials have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the death. Anyone with information is urged to contact OST Dispatch at 605-867-5111.
