Hay Springs Schools are providing counseling and support for students and staff following the death of an 8th-grade student.

HAY SPRINGS, Neb. - Hay Springs Schools are providing counseling and support for students and staff following the death of an 8th-grade student. In a message to parents, the school shared that they are “saddened to report that an 8th grade student died in an accident.”

The accident occurred on Sunday, March 2, in Harding County, South Dakota.

To support students during this difficult time, counselors and staff will be available at the school on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Students seeking support are encouraged to enter through the auditorium doors.
