Death of Rosebud Sioux Tribe Vice President’s daughter prompts administrative leave

The Rosebud Sioux Tribe announced administrative leave for all tribal employees on Tuesday following the death of Tribe Vice President Lisa White Pipe’s daughter, Tehjalyn White Pipe.

ROSEBUD, S.D. - The Rosebud Sioux Tribe announced administrative leave for all tribal employees on Tuesday following the death of Tribe Vice President Lisa White Pipe’s daughter, Tehjalyn White Pipe. All tribal offices will be closed for the day.

As News Channel Nebraska reported earlier this week, one teen died and another sustained life-threatening injuries during a crash Sunday near Gregory, South Dakota. Tribe Vice President Lisa White Pipe’s daughter, Tehjalyn White Pipe, died in the crash.

Funeral services for Tehjalyn will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 414 Church Ave., in Gregory. Burial will follow at 11:45 a.m. at Hillview Cemetery in Dallas, South Dakota.
