VALENTINE, Neb. - An ambulance was called for an assault Monday night in Valentine, according to Valentine Police Chief Jamon Slama. The call came in shortly after 9:00 p.m. for an incident in the 200 block of North Edna Street. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene.

Few details have been released so far, and police say the investigation is ongoing.

On Monday the department also released its weekly report for the week of April 13th to April 19th:

"The following arrests were made:

On April 13th at 7:20 PM, officers responded to a domestic disturbance.  A 29 year old Nebraska man was arrested on the charge of Third Degree Domestic Assault.

On April 15th at 10:50 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested a 40 year old South Dakota man for Driving Under the influence of Alcohol.

On April 16th at 8:00 PM, a disturbance complaint lead to the arrest of a 39 year old Nebraska man on the charge of Third Degree Domestic Assault.

On April 18th at 8:00 PM, a report of a disturbance lead to the arrests of a 27 year old South Dakota woman and an 18 year old Nebraska man for the offense of disturbing the peace.

In all, officers responded to 58 calls for service during the week, including

9 traffic stops

5 welfare checks

4 domestic disturbances

1 runaway juvenile"
