In the 1860s, mail to the western United States was carried by horse and rider. Pony Express riders carried their satchels of mail from St. Joseph, Mo., to Sacramento, Calif.; nearly 2,000 miles in 10 days.  

Fire consumes semi-truck east of Sidney

Firefighters responded to a report of a truck on fire east of Sidney tonight. The truck was a complete loss.
