NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Perkins County’s Elijah Goodell and Brady’s Zoe Johnson earned individual victories Thursday at the North Platte St. Pat’s Cross Country Invitational, held at River’s Edge Golf Course.

Goodell, a junior, won the boys race in 16 minutes, 17 seconds, leading Perkins County to a second-place team finish. Doniphan-Trumbull’s Kaser Johnson placed second in 16:31, while North Platte St. Pat’s Coltan Ham was third in 16:55. Perkins County teammate Ethan Swesey added a fifth-place finish.

Doniphan-Trumbull captured the boys team title with 17 points, just edging Perkins County with 18. St. Pat’s was third with 24, while Sidney placed fourth with 34 behind a pack led by Jonah Graham (10th), Devin Roach (11th), Jasper Gulbranson (13th) and Hunter Elston (14th). Wallace rounded out the top five at 47 points.

On the girls side, Johnson crossed in 21:45 to win by seven seconds. Perkins County’s Madison Potts was runner-up in 21:52, and Doniphan-Trumbull’s Sevyn Russell took third in 22:16. Sidney’s Kylee Kampfe was fifth overall in 22:32, while teammate Rayah Wolff finished eighth. Kennedy Hobson (13th) and Emily Bashtovoi (15th) also sealed top 15 finishes for the Lady Raiders. 

Perkins County claimed the girls team crown with 14 points, ahead of Sidney (20) and Maxwell (34). Wallace placed fourth and Paxton was fifth.
