NORFOLK, Neb. – The annual St. Jude Radiothon, presented by US-92, is celebrating its 25th year, bringing together volunteers and community members for a two-day, 12-hour event filled with compassion and dedication. Volunteers are busy answering phones and writing thank-you notes, all in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

"We're encouraging our listeners to call in and pledge $19 a month," said US-92 radio host Becca Arkfeld. "These funds are crucial in keeping St. Jude Hospital free for its patients, covering everything from travel and housing to food and treatments."

Over the past twenty five years, the Radiothon has become a source of inspiration for Northeast Nebraska. Marisa Meyer, a local parent whose family has been personally touched by St. Jude, emphasized the event's profound impact.

"St. Jude did so much for our daughter," said Meyer, who is also a volunteer coordinator for US-92 and the Radiothon. "Although she didn't win her battle with cancer, they gave us invaluable quality time with her."

Meyer urges those who are hesitant to donate to consider the far-reaching effects of their contributions. "Every dollar goes directly to research, helping to find cures and save lives," Meyer explained. "This research is shared worldwide, making a global impact. I encourage everyone to donate because it truly will save lives."

To donate $19 a month, call 1-800-330-9727. You can also text "hope" to 785-833 to contribute.
