Video from the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office.

BUFFALO COUNTY, Neb. — A Buffalo County deputy is getting attention online after video showed him using an unusual method.

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office shared surveillance video on social media showing a deputy running through a yard to the back of a home before jumping onto a trampoline and bouncing.

While the video may appear humorous at first glance, the extra height served a purpose.

Deputy Schmidt told News Channel Nebraska he was searching for a subject and used the trampoline to get a better view over a privacy fence.

Authorities said the subject was located shortly after, and the situation ended peacefully.
