On the morning of July 9, members of the Wyoming Fugitive Task Force, the Cheyenne Police/Laramie County Joint SWAT Team, and additional officers from the Cheyenne Police Department located the suspect in the 1000 block of East Pershing Boulevard, where he was taken into custody without incident.
At 603 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 9 miles north of Twin Buttes to near St Petersburg, or along a line from 16 miles southeast of Sidney to 23 miles east of Sterling.
At 558 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6 miles southwest of St Petersburg to near Platner, or along a line from 18 miles southeast of Sterling to 6 miles east of Akron, moving east at 25 mph.
Eastern portions of Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area are closed to vehicle access during a campground improvement project. The project will add electrical campsites and a shower house to the park’s eastern campground, which previously offered basic, non-electric camping only.
