RAPID CITY, S.D. – A 50-year-old Gordon man suspected of multiple burglaries and thefts across South Dakota and Nebraska was arrested in Rapid City on March 28, according to the Meade County Sheriff’s Office.

Andrew Hesser was taken into custody on an outstanding Meade County warrant related to a February 5 burglary at Valley Market in Piedmont, South Dakota. Authorities say he is also a suspect in several other burglaries and thefts across multiple jurisdictions, including Meade County and Fall River County in South Dakota, as well as Gordon and Chadron in Nebraska.

In Meade County, Hesser faces charges of grand theft over $1,000, third-degree burglary, and first-degree intentional damage to private property over $1,000.

The investigation and arrest involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, the Meade County and Fall River County Sheriff’s Offices in South Dakota, the Gordon and Chadron Police Departments in Nebraska, and the Rapid City Police Department.
