Fremont Stuns Norfolk in OT

NORFOLK, Neb. — The Fremont girls scored on a late free kick with 25 seconds remaining in overtime to power past Norfolk. The Tigers defeated Norfolk 2-1 on Friday thanks to goals from Maira Fiscus and Emma Diers.

NORFOLK, Neb. — The Fremont girls scored on a late free kick with 25 seconds remaining in overtime to power past Norfolk.

The Tigers defeated Norfolk 2-1 on Friday thanks to goals from Maira Fiscus and Emma Diers.

Fiscus scored her second goal on the season on a speedy counterattack to tie the game five minutes before halftime. Diers netted the game-winning goal in the final minute of overtime for her eighth of the season, leading the team.
