VALENTINE, Neb. – A new nail salon has opened its doors in Valentine.

The Sixes Nail Co. is located inside the main building of Wickett Construction along Highway 20. Owner Kennedie Miller, a Valentine native, recently earned her nail technology certificate from the Nebraska Nail Institute in North Platte. She also holds a degree in nutrition, exercise and health sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

“I found so much joy in doing nails for my family and friends that I wanted to do it every day,” Miller said.

Miller offers a variety of services, including soft gels, builder gels, acrylics and basic manicures. She plans to add pedicures in the future.

“I love sitting at a table, talking to people, drinking coffee and making things pretty. It’s just fun,” Miller said. “I have it set up in a living room format. I keep snacks on the counter. I want people to come hang out.”

Appointments can be booked by calling or texting 402-322-1700, online, or through Facebook.

The nail industry has seen significant growth worldwide. According to Fortune Business Insights, the market is expected to grow from $25.76 billion in 2025 to $36.27 billion by 2032.

“It makes people feel better about themselves,” Miller said. “It’s become not just a luxury you do every once in a while, but more routine.”
