Valentine’s police chief resigns, accepts new position

After more than a decade as Valentine’s Police Chief and nearly 30 years in law enforcement, Chief Dana Miller has announced her resignation.

VALENTINE, Neb. - After more than a decade as Valentine’s Police Chief and nearly 30 years in law enforcement, Chief Dana Miller has announced her resignation. She has accepted a new position with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

Chief Miller’s final day with the department will be Nov. 27. During the transition, Lieutenant Jamon Slama will serve as the acting Chief until the position is permanently filled.
