WNCC Cougar Madness set for Wednesday
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - Cougar Madness will happen Wednesday, October 22 when the Western Nebraska Community College men’s and women’s basketball team will host a special night of basketball for the fans.
Cougar Madness will begin at 7 p.m. at Cougar Palace and it will be an evening to showcase this year’s Cougar basketball teams. Cougar Madness is held in conjunction with the college’s Homecoming festivities.
The evening will feature team introductions of the players and coaches, skills and 3-point contests, a slam dunk contest, autograph sessions, and a meet and greet.
The Cougar teams will open the season on Halloween with three games slated. The women’s team will hold the Cougar Classic with October 31 and November 1. The women will play Colorado Northwestern at 7 p.m. on Halloween with the first women’s game slated for 5 p.m. when Salt Lake takes on Dodge City. November 1, Dodge City faces Colorado Northwestern at 1 p.m. and WNCC takes on Salt Lake at 3 p.m.
The Cougar men open the season Halloween afternoon at 3 p.m. against Snow College and then November 1 at 6 p.m. against Dodge City Community College.
